What is GayDiego?

GayDiego is a social guide to LGBT nightlife in the heart of San Diego’s gayborhood – loosely defined as Hillcrest, North Park and University Heights. Our goal is to ENERGIZE your social calendar by giving you a day-to-day schedule of events that are happening at OUR favorite clubs, bars and restaurants.

So why is GayDiego helpful when you can just look up this information yourself? Sure, you could do it on your own but we know you are busy with jobs, school, pets, kids, friends, partners, the latest Real Housewives episode, etc. So GayDiego is here to take the stress of answering the age-old question “Where should we go tonight?” by giving you ONE website that synthesizes all the pertinent information – date, time, cover charges, happy hour specials, ambiance, girl/guy crowd, and more – categorized into easy-to-understand days of the week.

Who is part of the GayDiego “family”?

We are members of your San Diego LGBT community – we live, work and play in the Gayborhood. We enjoy a good night out with friends, with our kids, with our partners. We are your neighbor, your friend, the girl on the dance floor behind you, the guy on the bar stool next to you, your BFF, your frenemy and everything in between.
We have opinions and we share them on this site. We believe in quality experiences, food and venues and our goal is to provide honest and forthright recommendations to our LGBT friends and future friends. We won’t feature a venue unless we have personally experienced it and it meets our “4 out of 5 Gold Stars” criteria.
